OUR SERVICES

Now that the Conway Stove Company is integrated with the many services we have offered for decades through Chimney Man, LLC, we are able to offer you a seamless process of installation, maintenance and repair of your chimneys, fireplaces, and stoves. We and our employees do all the work ourselves. We do not use  subcontractors.

Stove Installations

Installations are often highly technical and involved, so experience and expertise really matter. Installations can be as simple as delivering and hooking up a stove to an existing chimney or fireplace or as challenging as installing a zero clearance fireplace in a new building and designing and building a stone veneer to frame it. Whatever your needs are, we will consult with you and evaluate your situation to make sure that you are getting exactly what you want and need. Note: Due to volume of demand we can only install stoves sold by our shop.

Annual Cleaning and Maintenance

If you’re burning more than two cords a season, an annual chimney cleaning and inspection is recommended. (Be sure to get on our annual service list!) Proactive maintenance will save you a lot of trouble down the line: each winter we get calls from homeowners with clogged chimneys, or worse, ones that have been compromised by a violent chimney fire. The amount of creosote buildup depends on how hot you burn (the hotter you burn, the less buildup), the moisture content in your wood (the drier the wood, the less buildup), and several other factors as well.

We realize that no one wants to think about winter in May, but the earlier you get your chimney serviced the better—and you’ll save money because our summer rate is considerably cheaper. In general, we recommend an annual service for folks burning two or more cords in a season. We have standard cleaning rates that apply for each season:

2025 Standard Chimney Cleaning Rates:

Woodstoves and Fireplaces
April ~ August: $180
September ~ November: $200
December ~ March: $220
(rates are per flue)
Gas Cleaning ~ $225
Piazzetta and Lopi Pellet Stoves
$250 - $300 year-round

(we do not service other pellet stove brands)

Class A Chimneys, Stainless Steel Liners & Caps

A Class A chimney is a meticulously designed chimney system featuring three crucial components: an inner wall pipe, a one-inch layer of compact insulation surrounding it, and an outer pipe. These chimneys are a cheaper alternative to a conventional brick chimney and allow more options for new chimney placement. An insulated Class A chimney allows you to get very close (within 2 inches) to combustible materials. Each season we install these safe and efficient chimney units in walls and roofs. Stainless Steel Liners

Stainless Steel Liners come in various sizes and lengths but all serve the same purpose: creating a new chimney within an older masonry chimney. If your chimney was built prior to the 1950s it probably does not have a tile liner and there’s only one layer of very old brick separating smoke and sparks from the combustible material in your home. A chimney fire in an older chimney like this can have potentially devastating consequences.

Also, if your chimney has been heavily used and is older, chances are your tile liner may be be cracked and compromised. Stainless steel liners are not cheap and the installations can be very tricky. But upgrading an older chimney with a liner is far less expensive than tearing down and rebuilding it. Call us for a free quote.

Chimney Caps

Every chimney should have a chimney cap and spark arrestor. Chimney caps keep the weather out (an inch of rain means an inch of rain at the bottom of your uncapped flue). Caps help reduce moisture soaking into the masonry also, which is the slow killer of masonry. Caps not only keep out the weather, but birds and rodents who might venture down your chimney or otherwise deem it suitable habitat for nesting purposes. All caps we install are equipped with sidewall spark arrestors that help keep sparks from spewing out the top. Caps vary in size. Call us for a free quote.

Masonry Restoration and Waterseal

Look to us for chimney rot repair and rebuilding, watersealing, chimney flashing, and much more.

Time takes its toll on even the best systems. Like any part of your home that’s exposed to the elements, things decay over time. Usually the culprit is water: moisture infiltrates your masonry, freezes, then thaws, and then freezes some more. This process causes masonry to crack and deteriorate. Most of what we do involves repairing this damage. The extent of the masonry repair depends on the damage and rot. Sometimes we’ll tear down a few courses of block or brick, sometimes it must be taken down to the roof line, and in rare instances, the damage is so bad that we recommend replacing the chimney in its entirety.

Stone Veneers

We specialize in stone veneers. Veneers come in real and cultured (or fake) stone. The veneer is laid, piece by piece, to create a natural stone aesthetic around a conventionally framed wooden chase structure. Stone veneers come in many shapes, sizes and styles. Below are stone veneers we have built as part of new construction. Call us for a free quote.

Last but not least...Wedding Blessings!

In the late 18th century, King George’s horse spooked and his carriage careened out of control down the cobblestone streets of London. Perchance, a humble chimney sweep intervened in the unfolding tragedy and saved the King’s life by grabbing hold of the horse.

Thereafter, the King announced that chimney sweeps were bearers of good fortune. The lowly sweep began to wear the now iconic top hat, a symbol of higher status in society. Soon chimney sweeps began to appear at weddings, blessing the couples by shaking the hand of the groom and kissing the bride on the cheek.

Quddus is occasionally available to perform this service for a special couple. If you are interested in having a chimney sweep bless your wedding, please get in touch with us.
